Dad's Beef Noodles

Dad was eating a bowl of beef noodles. He is such a sweet guy, he said that I must try first because I have low blood and eating beef somehow helps. I told him that i am still coughing and might spread to him and he said never mind.

Thank you Daddy, I love you!!

Edited Blog Links

I have edited my blog links.

If you have noticed before, I only put in KH-related links.

But now, things have changed.

Today onwards, there is no such thing as "我们的芗剧团" anymore.

It will just be "KH - 新加坡福建公会芗剧团".

Those who have left or might be leaving are still my friends. Those who are not KHers are also my friends.

People left, might be leaving, MIA etc..., does not fit into the heading anymore.

So I changed its title as well and welcome in non KH-related links.

Shall update progressively. ;)

Multi-tasking

Transfering files to my portable disk, blogging and reading a thriller.

I want to upgrade my desktop and before doing that, I need to transfer my files to my portable disk.

My desktop has become a very slow machine and most of the times it gets on my nerve.

My laptop has died on me and waiting for a friend to help to revive it back.

My netbook is dying any moment.

Blogging has commenced as I have more free time to blog.

I have more free time to go out with friends. ;)

Jio me if you are free or if you bother...Wahahahaha ~~~

(I remember telling ML that instead of waiting there to be jio, we can take initiative to jio friends for gathering. Some won't jio you or might miss you out for some reasons or others so we might as well take the initiative to do so.....LOL)

I hope to read more during the hols. Reading is a good hobby and I read alot during my schooling days. It is a shame that very little time is available as I am very busy at work.

Though surfing is still one of my top favourites, I really want to visit the library occasionally. ;)

Shooooopping!!!!!!!! I have already jio MK to go window shopping.

Some may find us a funny combi...out of all people, why MK?

We have our own reasons right? (LOL)

And I see no need to blog about it....^^

Ice Cream Cakes

Other than Swensens, where can I get ice cream cakes?

A friend's birthday is coming and I would like to get her an ice cream cake.

She always wanted an ice cream cake for her birthday but she could not have them because her birthday falls during Winter. Too cold for her.

She never asks from me. I got to know about it when she mentioned it casually. Another reason why she never gets for herself ice cream cakes because they are costly and she could not afford them. To her , ice cream cakes are luxury items.

I am going to get her one. ;)

Anyone knows where to get ice cream cakes other than Swensens?

Mousy Mousy Cupcake

My colleague gave me a mousy cupcake.

How sweet of her. :)

She bought a very nice cupcake carrier and she carried her cupcakes all the way from Orchard.

She absolutely loves baking and she bakes wonderful pastries. :)

My Pinky Piggy

Remember my pinky piggy?

FM gave me as a Christmas present 2 years ago.

She wanted me to cultivate a habit to save.

I started putting in gold coins then.

Pinky Piggy is going to turn two this Christmas and how fatter has she gotten to be?

Pinky Piggy isn't fed to its brim, hopefully it will one day. ;)

I feed Pinky only when I have gold coins.

It would be an achievement if Pinky has reached its max.

I would be very proud of myself.

Pinky is my motivation. ;P

WHEATS @ Toa Payoh

Guess where I was?

I spotted WHEATS @ Toa Payoh.

I saw it on a TV advertising its cake rolls from Japan.

And they are very expensive.

I was so happily choosing what I wanted forgetting to ask how much they were.

I bought 7 rolls , the one not in the picture was a durian roll bought specially for my mum.

The durian roll is the most expensive priced at $4.80.

The original roll is two plus and the rest are at about four plus.

I paid everything at about $26 for just 7 rolls.

I have not tried them yet, they are still in the fridge.

Hope that they are still intact when I wake up later.

Having a bad stubborn cough that refuses to go away.

Shall comment when I get to taste them later. ;P

The Earthquake

Each time the earthquake shakes, shattering you into bits and pieces.

Picking up every bit and piece, nothing is going to be the same ever again.

Souls are mourned deeply by some whereas others are just so indifferent and oblivious.

The homeland, where the earthquake strikes, is never perfect as it desires to be.

Loyalty, passion , rules and all, they are but terms used by people in power.

Never be the caged parrot, trained to mimic the words of others.

Do not deny who you are.

Laugh and cry as you please.

No need for flattery and no fear of mockery.

In maintaining your purest nature and goodwill.

My ELF Brushes

I feel so much refreshing after a bath.

Before that I was so so tired, so lazy to move and too weary to move even an inch.

Remember I blogged about a shopping spree with my colleagues several weeks ago.

I ordered a whole set of brushes, 12 of them, very comprehensive.

The brush costs US$1 each, very very cheap right?

Some of my colleagues ordered them while others ordered eyeshadows, lipsticks, lip gross etc.

I thought these brushes would come in time for my TW trip if not my "Three Families"..

Alas, they only came this morning.

When am I going to use them?

Nevertheless, I am still happy that they finally came.

I don't think you can get a whole set of US brushes for a mere $22 inclusive of postage. Isn't it a very good bargain?

It is good to go on a spree with your colleagues...

Again it is important to get into the right website.

I'm looking forward to the next spree HOWEVER I will not buy rashly.

It is high time that I change my brushes... Just that the timing is really not right now but that doesn't mean that I can't use them. I can keep them for future use.

Movies & Spending

I love movies especially thrillers. Now I have ample time for movies!

I usually watch movies during weekends and the tickets are more expensive.

But if you get a HSBC movie pass, you get 10 tickets at only $75.

You can use the pass any day.

I would use it only weekends as I only spend $7.50 for a ticket whereas it usually cost about $8.50 in Golden Village.

I hardly choose Cinemas, I go for rates instead.

My brother would go for Cathay for a funny reason. The popcorns there taste better than the rest. (LOL)

Watching a movie is probably one of the lowest cost form of entertainment...If you really have to spend.

It keeps you in the dark for about two hours at the edge of your seat. Imagine going shopping for 2 hours, how much would you spend if you were an impulsive buyer?

I went shopping last weekend...To be more precise, window shopping, with no aim in mind.

I tried out a few blouses and a dress. Only one fit me nicely.

Then I put it back to its rack.

Why I didn't buy it?

For a couple of reasons;

The need of a blouse is minimal.

I can find a better one, hopefully.

The price is a bit on the steep side.

I prefer another colour.

Saving comes first.

I saw a pair of very nice shoes yesterday, my type of shoes...

It is priced at $169.

It is nice and unique but I am not spending a single cent for it.

$169 for me to step on the floor? NO WAY!

Be rational and spend within your means.

Fun with Iphone Apps

Iphone Apps are so so fun.

See my picture, nice right?

Amai & Books

Picture taken by SH.

Just wanna put up this picture. ;p

I like my smile. ;)

Borrowed two books from the library. Hoping to start them tomorrow. ;P

ML was surprised that I borrowed a chinese book.

I do read them sometimes...though I prefer to read English books. ;)

I find it difficult to upload my pictures from Iphone.

However I tried another way of doing it. May seem dumb but still get my pictures. (LOL)

Hotpots, Mac Or PC

I can't remember when I last ate hotpot. Seems to be ages ago.

I have hotpot dates with some friends and I do not mind eating hotpot regularly.

I used to eat hotpot almost weekly.

That was so long time ago.

Time really flies!

I want to get a Mac...But I am not sure what should I get, a Macbook or IMac?

Both of them cost steeply.......

I have to watch my wallet.

A friend advised me to get IMac instead.

Bigger, better and who's going round carrying such a heavy Macbook unless you don't mind.

Or should I get a new Window 7 laptop? My existing one is having problem logining in.

I have an old desktop and I want to upgrade its ram and still keep it at XP.

I want to buy new softwares especially adobe PDF..

So many things to decide and they all need money...

So I have to think about it...

Any advice?

Starting To Blog Again

Thanks to FM for helping me to design my Blog Header.

Nice right? I absolutely love it.

Guess I will have more time to blog now as there will be lesser time spent in opera activities in KH.

Lots of things have been happening ever since we came back from TW performance.

You get to know some people more, be it good or bad.

Lots of mixed feelings......

There will be decisions made eventually.

Some of my friends got hurt very badly and I feel sad and terrible about it.

But nothing would change my opinions of my friends as they really treated me well when I was feeling so lost and helpless in Taiwan.

Time will tell...
