I like this kind of Cantonese Opera. I like the way Ni Huiying sings. So melodic so enchanting!

Though the parade of the "flower" dans to me is rather amusing, it is refreshing. They remind me of Botanic Gardens. (LOL)

Enough for today's blogging....My nose is tingling [hurting] now...warning me that I am tiring myself out.

Time for a little nap...

Hopefully no more unexpected call to wake me up to look for some missing pictures yozz. I lost my sleep after that yesterday.

I badly need my sleep. Though I have the "luxury" to sleep, I simply can't get to sleep...

Unless something really urgent and important, if not spare me the time to rest. (LOL)

Dragon Lady Again

[More like a Rabbit Fairy meets a scholar on the moon...The maid in yellow can be the egg yolk mooncake.)

A new dragon lady excerpt. Just show how Dragon Lady emerges from the sea in search of fruits to celebrate her father's birthday.

This excerpt uses at least 4 maids to accompany the Dragon Lady. Dragon Lady then discovered that the world was drying up due to months of drought and the people were suffering. Not so much of singing but lots of lyrics at the back of the excerpt.

Personally, I feel this excerpt is rather meaningless unless you really know its storyline which sadly this show isn't well-known. Maybe just for "excitement" and if you like to see dans... It is an all-dans excerpt.

Ma Lan's Yan Fengying

I took this picture with my nokia handphone. I was simply too lazy to use my digital camera and also I have not charged it for days since the day I became sick.

I tried to bluetooth to my NEC notebook and I failed to do so.

Shanice could do that to her notebook but how come I couldn't?

Lousy NEC...perhaps it isn't bluetooth-enabled???

If I could do it, it would save lots of trouble for me.

Don't think I would want to spend extra to equip my notebook with bluetooth. I spent too much on DOCs already!!!

CMM gave this set of DVDs to me. She asked her friend in China to get it just for me. Isn't she sweet? (LOL)

Yan Fengyin was the Master of Huangmei Opera. One of her renowed opera movies was "The Female Consort". You still can get the DVD remastered in Commercial Press Bookshop. She died at the age of 37 during the Cultural Revolutionary War. Those were the darkest days for most of the performing arts artistes.

I remember watching Ma Lan's Yan Fengying many years back. I couldn't remember the details but it was telecasted in TV.

Perhaps I can show you some of its clips later if I have the energy and time. ^^

"Missing" Pictures Resurfaced

I am seeing these pictures for the first time. ML's camera malfunctioned when she took the "Broken Bridge".

I wasn't able to sieve all these pictures out in time as I don't get firsthand pictures anymore. Furthermore, the pictures were all lumped together in number files and those numbers mean nothing to me unless I open all of them.

Leader wanted the "Broken Bridge" pictures and I didn't realise that among the pictures that I gave previously did not have the pictures in it.

The cards were passed only to me when there was a meetup. Furthermore, I only got the harddisk recently and I am so SICK and ILL that I really have no energy to even on my Desktop.

Now I am opening my Desktop for the first time after so many days wincing from the pain that horrid Sinus gives me!

I am kind of glad to manage to find some pictures of "Broken Bridge". I don't wish to be held responsible (I know no one will scold me lah, but still I must disclaim a bit lor) if all these publicity pictures were lost. I think ML has done a great job taking all these pictures for us at no cost! So we must all be thankful yozz. ^^

I notice TOP took more pictures than AC. Similarly WMY took more "Jiabaoyu" pictures than me. Maybe it is a coincidence, maybe not...(LOL)

I hope that I am not being sensitive because when I took the "Jiabaoyu" pictures, Leader seemed "bochap" but when she directed the other group, she had more zest!

More zest perhaps means more pictures taken.

Seeing is not necessarily believing......Just like Leader said that publicity pictures need not be the real cast. So be it.

WMY has a heart of gold. She is not a petty person. I don't blame her for taking more pictures than me.

I am just a normal human being. If I were to tell you that I was okie for not giving that opportunity to take that many pictures, I am LYING!

Of course I don't feel good about it. In fact I felt down.

Now....I want to be well again.

Sinus Attack

"There is no need to inject for Sinus." My 4th doc stated.

Apparently I have been diagnosed inaccurately by my first 3 docs. My sinus continued to give me pounding headache and blocked ears. The echoes drive me giddy and nauseous. I have not been able to sleep well lately.

My condition improved after seeing the 4th doctor last Friday. I should have gone to him initially. It was the distance that detered me from doing so.(regrets, if not my pain and agony wouldn't have been this long.)

I am going for another review this coming Thursday.

I hate the nasal sprays and I got two in return. (Sucks)

But the nasal sprays do help alot though they choke you upside down.

My mum stated that she is now using money to "buy" back her health.

No one wants to be sick. Being sick deprives you of so many things. Time, money, work, fun and leisure ....

I want to be well again.

Blocked Ear???

I am not yet recover from my sinusitis...My left ear is blocked and I hear echoes and they make me feel giddy.

My forehead is pounding and it makes me very uncomfortable.

I may go and see the Doc again in the afternoon.

It is getting on my nerve and I don't like to hear those echoes......

It hurts!

Uninterrupted

Leader and Top are out of town.
When the cat is away, the mice come out to play......

I am officially on MC today but I reported for work. So I skipped those pills that might make me drowsy. I wouldn't want to drive with an unclear mind.

I don't think I am required to go back to KH for rehearsals. Tuesday already taken up for those who are going to perform in mid Jan and Thursday is scheduled for Role As though the Bs and Cs are welcome to join in. ^^

I am going to rest and hope to get well soon. I hate sinusitis, the throbbing headache is such a pain in the neck!

I am looking forward to CNY. Very much looking forward to. I want to rest and play and relax.

I won't be much available and would be pretty occupied personally. ^^

I want my CNY to be uninterrupted yozz. (LOL)

Sleeping Beauty

Getting a snooze in the middle of rehearsal. She is Kun, my TW idol. ^^

Now a drama and performing arts teacher in a little town - Luan Luan, TW.

She used to be a member of Lanyang TW Opera troupe. She left many years back.

She loves the stage but to be practical, she has to find a more stable job.

It's a pity that she couldn't come to SG to perform with us as her schedule is hectic and she can't take leave unnecessarily.

Kun is very pretty. She is like Hong with sharp features.

They have nice and friendly personalities though Hong can be quite an introvert unless she knows you good enough and she can be pretty funny. ^^

Both are xiaoshengs but of different calibre.

Kun can play both xiaosheng and dan roles. She has a sweet voice.

Hong usually plays "sanhua" which is the clown role. Shanice saw her performance and came back yakking non-stop praising Hong and of cos her idol, Peiying.

Hope I can get to watch their shows soon. ^^

SICK

Heart started to beat extraordinary fast.
No, not again.......I laid my head on the table. I started to gasp, gasping desperately for air.

I hyperventilated last Friday afternoon. I developed fever and pain in the evening. I couldn't attend K's birthday at Partyworld. I wanted to but I couldn't. I missed the FUN...(LOL)

I slept for one and a half hour before I dragged myself to my feet, wobbled unsteadily. I had work to do......

A kind soul sent me home that evening. I am grateful.

My sinus has been giving me problems since last week. My nose and ears were blocked. I couldn't hear properly. Echoes everywhere and they made me feel giddy.

I have not recovered since then.

This morning around 4plus, I hyperventilated again.

I forced myself to walk to my parents' room. I just sat there...hyperventilating.

My mum woke up, though this time round my hyperventilation wasn't as serious as my previous ones...It was sufficient to freak my parents out.

So again I stayed at home...Dad brought me to another doc.

Doc told me to relax. He advised me to take up exercises and he suggested Tai Chi...

Nope, Tai Chi isn't my cup of tea.

He asked me whether did I exercise?

I replied that I did lots and tons of marking. I got him speechless......

I have 3 sets of medicine to take...Not advisable to take all at once. Need to take a set every 5 min till I finish the last set.

I hate medicine...I spent so much money seeing docs.

I spent some money on my monitor. It was my monitor that caused all those glaring blinking lines and dots. They made my eyes hurt and tired.

One of my car's windows couldn't function. Dad brought it to the mechanic and there goes another hundred bucks more.

I am going back to work tomorrow though I am given 2 days' mc.

Marking....yet to be finished...

I have been sick since last week......

This time the intervals of my panic attack are shortened...It took me just two days to hyperventilate again. This is pretty scary...

I must learn to relax myself...But how?

All the white portion of my PC's desktop screen suddenly had lines...

I don't know what has gone wrong. Is the monitor going bongos soon or has my video card malfunction.

XJ's idol, CZX, sang very well. Not only she is a dynamic singer, she also roars well too. (LOL)

I wonder how did she manage not to ruin her vocal cords with all that kind of "roaring". Perhaps she has been bestowed such a powerful and strong voice. ^^
