Cantonese Huadan - Wong Meiling

I know her for many years. She is a very nice and gentle lady. A very softspoken person. She is a friend of ML.

I think Meiling looks pretty in this picture. She has worked very hard to maintain her troupe.

She is a great lover of Cantonese Opera and sometimes she would just go overseas to watch Cantonese operas.

However she isn't in the pink of health.

Sometimes it saddens me when I learn that she isn't well.

I didn't make it to her show last night.

It may be her last show depending on her health condition.

It makes me think of myself.

How long am I going to persevere in my own field of opera?

Health is a problem and heart is also another problem.

Guess "heart" is now my bigger problem.

Previously, no matter how poor my health could be, my zest in opera was not reduced.

Now my "heart" isn't on par with my "zest".

Maybe I am getting weary.

I just told ML that there may be a possiblity that I may just chuck my opera aside.

Meiling may be fulfiling her wish and love for Cantonese Opera.

Me?

I have been fighting for my opera against all odds.

No matter how my parents' disapproval and the time committment, I strive on.

But now I feel like a deflating balloon.

Somehow I don't look forward to my troupe just like before.

I have no aim and is getting restless.

No aim = No future?

A TW friend asked me whether I would feel sad if I give up my opera.

Definitely!

But I won't rule out the possiblity to leave my troupe if there is a need.

I think she put in a lot of effort for last week's show. As leader she must have a 101 things to attend to.

Hope she recovers from her health problems soon.
